Hockey legend Balbir Singh Sr breathed his last at Fortis Hospital,
Mohali on Monday (May 25). He was 95 and was battling multiple health
issues for more than two weeks. Actor Akshay Kumar condoled the
three-time Olympic gold medal-winner’s demise on social media.
Sharing a photo with Balbir Singh Sr, Akshay wrote, “Saddened to hear
about the demise of hockey legend #BalbirSingh ji. Have had the good
fortune of meeting him in the past, such an amazing personality! My
heartfelt condolences to his family.”
