It
looks like both Oscar and Carlos Tevez will be joining the Chinese
Super League in January, with ridiculous amount of money being exchanged
in the process.
We could be in for one of the most intriguing transfer windows yet,
as Chinese Clubs look to prey on Premier League talent and the latest
name to be linked with a move is another Chelsea midfielder – John Obi
Mikel.
“Not John-Obi” I hear you cry. Unfortunately it looks like the player
will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the coming months as the Nigeria
captain’s contract is due to expire on June 30, 2017.
The London Evening Standard claim Mikel is weighing up a move to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, who are also ready to sign Mikel’s teammate Oscar.
The Super League club are said to have made inquires and reached out to the midfielder’s agent with a £170,000-a-week offer.
To put that wage into perspective, John Obi Mikel will earn more than:
Andres Iniesta – £165,000 pw
Sergio Busquets – £140,000 pw
Anthony Martial – £65,000 pw
Luke Shaw – £70,000 pw
Philippe Coutinho – £75,000 pw
Emre Can – £55,000 pw
Laurent Koscielny – £70,000 pw
Hector Bellerin – £50,000 pw
Toby Alderweireld – £75,000 pw
Harry Kane – £50,000 pw
Ivan Rakitic – £75,000 pw
The question remains – who next?
