This comes in heels after Buhari has cancelled his visit to Ogoni land
in Niger Delta region, Rivers State and send VP Osinbajo in his stead.
It would be recalled that the Niger Delta militants had threatened the
President on the UK-based Radio Biafra, warned that Buhari “should sign
his death warrant” before his visit to Ogoni, and the president ended up
delegating Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to the landmark flag-off of the
clean-up of Ogoni.
Meanwhile, President Buhari is scheduled to embark on a one-day trip to
Dakar, Senegal for the 49th Extra-Ordinary Summit of the ECOWAS on June
3, Friday.
