A report had it that the Townhall meeting organized by the Federal
Government today in Akwa-Ibom was disrupted by a group of irate youths
who came to demand for the government to execute key projects in the
state.
The meeting which took place at the ‘Le Meridian Hotel’ in the state saw
youths drawn from different organizations, storm the venue and begin to
chant songs of solidarity and demanding the execution of key projects
such as the Lagos-Calabar railway.
According to source, It took the intervention of the Minister of
Transport, Chibuike Amaechi, to pacify them, prompting their exit from
the venue.
